Maladinovo for skiers
Although Maladinovo is not directly on the slopes, its convenient location means you are close to 7 major ski resorts. The free ski bus stop is just a 5-minute walk away, taking you to Jasna. You will certainly appreciate the secure storage of your skis and equipment and a ski boot dryer at the resort. After winter activities, our wellness center, beer spa or apartment with its own sauna and jacuzzi will definitely come in handy.
7 ski resorts
There are several large and smaller ski resorts in Liptov for both advanced and beginners. Maladinovo is close to many of them, so you don't have to limit yourself to just one location. You can reach the largest Slovak resort, Jasná, by car in 20 minutes, and less than an hour is enough to visit the High Tatras (StrbskePleso or Tatranska Lomnica). You can also experience excellent skiing at Malinô Brdo in Ruzomberok or Opalisko in Zavazna Poruba. For children, we would recommend Demänová resort or Žiar-Dolinky.
Other winter sports
In addition to ski resorts, our region offers other winter activities that will help you enjoy winter to the fullest. We can mention ski mountaineering, whether on a groomed slope or in open terrain. You can experience romance while winter skating on an artificial ice rink and, if winter allows, on one of the natural areas. Winter hiking trails in the Veľká Fatra, Low or West Tatras and cross-country skiing are also popular. You can enjoy adrenaline while sledding or snowtubing in the Demänová resort.
